The Rizal National Science High School[1] (Mataas na Paaralang Nasyonal na Pang-Agham ng Rizal), commonly known as RiSci or Rizal Science is a Secondary Public Science High School system located in Jose P. Rizal St., Batingan, Binangonan, Rizal, Philippines.[2] It was founded on 1998. It is a DepEd-recognized science high school.

History

Rizal National Science High School was first stationed in University of Rizal System in Binangonan, Rizal. After sometime, it was relocated to Batingan.

Riscians continue its work of academic excellence and campus leadership as they continue to receive awards and recognitions in the local, provincial, national and even international levels.[3] Risci was proclaimed by the DepEd Regional Office (IV - A) as the Center of Excellence (CENTREX) in subjects Science and Mathematics for the whole region.[4]

Risci, up to now, is still not Department of Science and Technology (DOST) accredited and recognized as a science high school.

For the first batch of Riscians who took the University of the Philippines College Admission Test, 98 per cent passed.

Vision

The Rizal National Science High School shall be the center of excellence in Science and Technology, Mathematics and English.

Mission

The Rizal National Science High School is established to provide gifted Rizaleños with special trainings in Science and Technology, Mathematics and English. Moreover, it aims to develop globally competitive citizens motivated by the love of God, country and concern for the nation.

Philosophy

The Rizal National Science High School believes that educating the students means molding them as whole individuals endowed with multiple intelligences and providing them with an academically advance curriculum in Science and Technology, Mathematics and English necessary to prepare them for the highly competitive world.

Admission

People who seek admission into the school must pass two written examinations. Weeks after, the qualified students must undergo interviews held by the school's board of members and faculty.
